How to Copy and Paste a URL (Web Address)
To Copy and Paste the URL or Web Address of a product page simply follow the instructions below. The following procedure is the same for Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers.
The Address Bar
The Browser Address Bar is the text entry field located at the top of your browser and will be the same as or similar to the image shown below.
This is where you might type something like www.google.com to visit the Google home page.
Each page you visit on the internet has its own unique address and as you browse and link through to different sites the address bar text changes.
When you find a product you want to add to Stuffpit you need to copy and paste this text.
Selecting the URL (Web Address)
To copy the URL of a product you want to recommend you need to highight the text in the address bar. If you click on the address bar your browser my automatically highlite all the text, if not then right click your mouse and select 'Select All' from the menu. You can also use the short cut keys Ctrl+A.
Copying the URL (Web Address)
Once all the text is selected and highlited you can copy it. Right click your mouse over the highlited text in the address bar and select 'Copy' from the menu. You can also use the short cut keys Ctrl+C.
Pasting the URL (Web Address)
Now that the web address has been copied you can return to the Stuffpit Add Product page and paste the URL in to the Product URL field. Right click your mouse over the Product URL field and select 'Paste' from the menu. You can also use the short cut keys Ctrl+V.
